A diorama built to accommodate an existing scale model ship. Our client’s own oil tanker model.has a complete hull and he wanted to retain this below the waterline in order that the ship can be removed and displayed as a stand-alone model in the future. We cut a water layer to accurately follow the hull and fabricated all the shoreline and on-shore docking facilities. Marine models of any type are always a pleasure to work on and we have enjoyed the transition from oil to renewables in recent years.
