A museum model repair .The owner of a very old model of the Taj Mahal approach us to ask if it would be possible to replicate some damaged ivory or soapstone parts. Using silicone rubber moulds we cast repeat components in PU resin. These were then painted and distressed to make them almost indistinguishable from the originals. The original pieces are the ones to the right of each picture. We have carried out a number of model restoration projects for museums and displays as well as supplying new exhibits on a commission basis. Past projects have gone to the Science Museum London, Historic Scotland Fort George, Lands End, Urquhart Castle and many others
