Ash framing is a skill developed alongside our normal model-making activities. Having manufactured Austin Seven scale models and latter;y Austin 7 pedal cars , the transition to full size timber-framed shells was not as unlikely as it sounds. Model-making skills are very transferable. Three years ago we were approached by a client who had a rolling chassis, the remains of a body and all the information needed to build a new one. We supplied a new ash-framed body-shell in about three weeks and our client has recently completed its restoration to a very high standard We were delighted to see it running around at a local car show.
